With Christmas just around the corner…. {Only 61 days to be precise}….. we thought we’d share a few of our hot ticket items and staff picks for 2016!

New to store in the past few weeks have been our cute little educational fish tanks. These water gardens by Fluid Growers are designed around aquaponics principles whereby your pet fish poops and thus feeds the plants, which in turn assist by cleaning the water via their root systems. A symbiotic relationship that teaches children how simple it is to grow food at home and in a very small space! And they just look super cool on your dining table.

Staff picks

Addie – Accounts Manager

Addie’s product of choice is one of our newbies in store also. A cute little stocking filler, these coconut oil chap sticks by EcoLips are all natural and organic. A great choice for those with skin allergies, vegetarians/vegans and the boho hippies of the family!

Josh – Apprentice Butcher

Josh has a man crush on our knives display at the moment! His pick is of course the biggest and best knife on display, the Dexter meat cleaver! This bad boy is valued at $150 and is a great gift idea for the home cook or butcher who has everything!

The Wakefield Kids

Our two youngest kids are obsessed with George The Farmer at present. George Shears A Sheep and George Plants a Wheat Crop are two books both well read in our household, with the plush dolls also being closely eyed off too! I think the draw card for these book to me as a parent is how accurately written and well balanced they are. I love the fact that there is a female shearer in the book and that Farmer Ruby plays an equal roll to Farmer George. A fantastic addition to any home bookshelf.
